What SMS Messages Does BOATSWIPE™ Send?

BOATSWIPE™ sends SMS messages for two purposes:

Account verification — a one-time 4-digit code is sent to confirm your phone number when you create a buyer or dealer account.
Dealer lead notifications — if you sign up as a dealer, you receive SMS alerts when a new buyer expresses interest in one of your listings, plus occasional reminders about pending leads.

Buyers receive only the one-time verification code. Dealers receive verification + ongoing lead alerts (typically a few per week, varies by inventory size).

User Consent Process

Before any SMS message is sent, users must explicitly opt in by checking a consent checkbox during signup at boatswipe.com/sign-up. The checkbox is unchecked by default. No SMS is sent without affirmative user action.

This checkbox is required — users cannot create an account without checking it. Consent records are stored with timestamp, IP address, user agent, and the verbatim consent text shown.

Opt-Out & Help

Users can opt out at any time by replying STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any message received from BOATSWIPE™. Once opted out, no further SMS messages will be sent to that phone number. Users can re-subscribe by replying START.

No Marketing or Promotional Messages

BOATSWIPE™ does not send marketing or promotional SMS. Messages are limited to account verification codes and transactional dealer lead notifications tied to actual buyer interest in a dealer's listings. Your phone number is never shared with third parties or used for marketing purposes. SMS opt-in data and mobile phone numbers are not sold, rented, or transferred to third parties for marketing or affiliate marketing.
